Despite having experienced homelessness, addiction, and trauma, Leonard has worked hard to ensure these things don’t hold him back. He graduated from college, built a successful professional career, and now makes sure he gives back what he can. Leonard advocates for the homeless whenever he has the opportunity and enjoys spending time volunteering. From 2015 to 2017, he was a member of Volunteers of America. In everything he does, Leonard Espree is inspired by his mother’s legacy. While she has passed away, her influence lives on as Leonard strives to follow her example of resiliency.
Beyond just advocating and volunteering to help meet community needs, Leonard Espree also is a philanthropist and donor who enjoys supporting art and cultural initiatives. Art and music have been influential features in his own life, giving him space to express himself through creative methods. Leonard plays the violin and also enjoys woodworking when he has the opportunity. He regularly donates to the Louisiana Endowment of the Arts to ensure his community in Louisiana also enjoys the benefits of artistic expression. Through all of these efforts, he hopes to be a part of bringing positive change in the lives of people around him.
Leonard Espree graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1990. While moving through various sales positions with different companies, Leonard has developed a strong skillset and made himself an asset to his teams. Leonard is incredibly passionate about technology and embracing emerging innovations. He is always looking for ways to streamline sales processes and improve customer experience, and has found that technology is an incredible asset for reaching those goals.
